1. Introduction

("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates GlobalShot, an online service for discovering remote job opportunities, matching vacancies to your profile, preparing CVs and cover letters with AI, and managing your job search.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you may have regarding that data. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use GlobalShot.

2. Data We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the service, and limited information from service providers that help us operate GlobalShot.

On our public website, we use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to measure visits and understand how people find and use the site. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data.

  • Contact and account data: name, email address, country, timezone, and authentication identifiers.
  • Career profile data: your CV or resume, information extracted from it, work history, education, skills, links you provide, preferred roles and locations, and answers about your job search and work preferences.
  • Job search and support data: saved vacancies, matching preferences, application status, support messages, and attachments you choose to send to support.
  • AI processing data: uploaded career materials, relevant job descriptions, instructions, generated CVs and cover letters, and settings needed to provide the requested features.
  • Usage data: device information, IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration, feature usage, diagnostics, and similar analytics data.
  • Session replay data: masked interaction recordings such as page structure, clicks, scrolling, and navigation. Text, form inputs, request bodies, request headers, and canvas content are not recorded.
  • Purchase data: subscription or order status, invoice records, transaction identifiers, and payment processor confirmations. We do not store full payment card details.

3. Sensitive Information

GlobalShot is designed for career preparation and application management. Unless we specifically request it, do not upload passports, national IDs, visa documents, health records, criminal records, bank account details, tax identifiers, or other sensitive documents.

If you choose to include sensitive information in your CV, profile, messages, or uploads, we will process it only as necessary to provide the service, respond to your request, comply with law, or protect the service.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide, operate, and improve GlobalShot, including to:

  • match vacancies to your career profile and job search preferences;
  • analyze your CV, prepare vacancy-specific CVs and cover letters, and maintain your saved vacancies and application status;
  • provide AI-assisted processing and investigate issues with generated documents;
  • respond to support requests and service-related communications;
  • process payments, subscriptions, refunds, and accounting records;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and fake or suspicious activity;
  • analyze usage and improve features using aggregated or de-identified data where practical;
  • review masked session replays to diagnose failures and improve product usability;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your uploaded career materials to make immigration, legal, hiring, visa, or government decisions about you.

5. AI-Assisted Processing

GlobalShot uses OpenAI models provided through Microsoft Azure AI services to analyze resumes and generate application materials. For these features, relevant CV and career profile content, your instructions and preferences, and, where needed, the target job description are sent to those services for processing.

Authorized staff may access your materials and generated outputs when necessary to provide support, investigate failures, or address security and abuse. The service does not include routine human review of every generated document. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed by you before use.

6. Data Sharing and Service Providers

We use service providers to operate GlobalShot and share the information needed for their respective functions. These include:

  • Microsoft Azure for application hosting and AI processing using OpenAI models, and Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage services.
  • Stripe for payment processing, subscriptions, invoices, and payment-method management. Payment details entered in Stripe checkout or its customer portal are processed by Stripe; we receive subscription and transaction information rather than full card details.
  • PostHog for product analytics, diagnostics, and masked session replay across the website and app.
  • Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager for the public website only, not the app.
  • Email and support communications providers, including Telegram for internal support and activity notifications that can contain your email address, support messages, or account activity summaries.

We may also share personal data when required by law, court order, government request, corporate transaction, fraud prevention, security investigation, protection of rights, or with your explicit consent.

We do not act as your recruiter, employer, immigration representative, or visa processor, and we do not send your materials to employers or recruiters unless the service you request clearly requires that action or you instruct us to do so.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide GlobalShot, maintain your account, complete a purchased service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.

  • Career materials and service outputs: retained while your account is active and for up to 12 months after your last activity, unless a longer period is needed for support, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or fraud prevention.
  • Application tracker and job preference data: retained while your account is active or until you delete the relevant entries.
  • Support messages and reviewer notes: retained for up to 24 months after the support or review interaction, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Account data: deleted or anonymized within 30 days after account deletion, unless retention is required for legal, tax, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Payment and invoice records: retained as required for tax, accounting, chargeback, and legal compliance.
  • Aggregated or de-identified analytics: may be retained for up to 24 months or longer where it no longer identifies you.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and California residents may request information about sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal data.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls and encryption in transit where appropriate. No electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Children's Privacy

GlobalShot is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union or United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice. Continued use of GlobalShot after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
